ABOUT THE JOB

Rubrik is currently seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our dynamic Engineering Program Management organization in Bangalore. This role will be based in Bangalore and will report directly to the Director of Technical Program Management.

As a TPM, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing several major technical programs and initiatives each year for our Engineering Organization across our product portfolio. You will also oversee the management of product releases, ensuring that they are delivered on time and with the highest level of quality. 

To succeed in this role, you must be adept at juggling multiple concurrent priorities, often with conflicting requirements. You will achieve results through logical thinking, effective communication, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority. Your ultimate goal will be to deliver products of the highest quality.

We are looking for a TPM who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possesses strong technical acumen. It is essential that you have a solid understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle, software release cycles, and are comfortable using project and program management tools. Your ability to drive outcomes will be highly valued, encompassing the creation and maintenance of project momentum, decisive action, obstacle removal, risk management, minimizing delays, proactive communication, and timely delivery of features and products.

In this role, you will collaborate with Engineering and Product Leadership.  Functions such as Product Management, QA and Customer Support to prioritize, plan, and deliver new features and products to the market. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and effective program execution, including feature prioritization, planning, progress tracking, obstacle resolution, defect management, beta programs, and product releases.

To facilitate seamless coordination and effective management, you will conduct cross-functional stand-ups and scrum of scrums meetings. These meetings will address prioritization, tracking, risk management, mitigation, metric review, defect resolution, proactive communication, and resolution of challenges that may impact program success.

 

Your role will also involve creating, optimizing, and executing processes to ensure predictable, consistent, and top-quality execution. You will contribute to defining metrics and success criteria for programs. Additionally, your expertise will be leveraged to drive product releases by coordinating among engineering teams and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and facilitating efficient, high-quality releases.  You will also lead the enhancement of our release management processes throughout the validation, deployment, and monitoring phases, including the monitoring of release metrics.

Experience 

The qualifications and skills required for the role include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering program or project management.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing large projects or initiatives within a complex and fast-paced organizational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile product development and experience working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features to the market on time and with high quality.
  • Thorough understanding of Product life cycle management methods, processes, and tools. Capable of managing existing processes and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Experience in release management, particularly in SaaS and On-Premises environments (additional experience in SaaS release management is advantageous).
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to comprehend the broader context of complex problems. Proficient in problem-solving techniques to prioritize tasks and manage obstacles and risks.
  • Quick learner with the capability to rapidly understand technical components, including new technologies, in order to effectively manage projects and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

NONDISCLOSURE AGREEMENT

In consideration of any disclosure of certain nonpublic or confidential information, you hereby enter into this Nondisclosure Agreement (the “Agreement”) and agree as follows:

  1. Confidential Information. In connection with a potential business relationship or other business purposes, Rubrik, Inc. (the “Company”) has granted you (the individual or entity named below) access, or may grant you access, to business, technical or other nonpublic information, materials and/or ideas (“Confidential Information,” which term shall include, without limitation, anything you learn or discover as a result of exposure to or analysis of any Confidential Information).
  2. Obligations. You will hold in confidence and will not possess or use (except as required to evaluate the proposed business relationship) or disclose any Confidential Information except information you can document which (i) is in the public domain through no fault of yours, (ii) was properly known to you, without restriction, prior to disclosure by Company or (iii) was properly disclosed to you by another person without restriction. Feedback.  You may, at your option and in your sole discretion, provide suggestions or feedback related to the Company’s products or services.  In no event will such suggestions or feedback be considered confidential or proprietary to you.  The Company will be free to use such suggestions as it chooses, without compensation to you.
  6. Disclaimer. Confidential Information is provided to you “as is” and the Company makes no warranties with respect to the Confidential Information or any materials provided by the Company.  In no event will the Company be liable for the accuracy or completeness of the Confidential Information.  You understand that nothing herein (i) requires the disclosure of any Confidential Information of the Company or (ii) requires the Company to proceed with any transaction or relationship.  You understand that this Agreement does not obligate the Company to disclose any information or negotiate or enter into any agreement or relationship.
  7. Miscellaneous.  The terms of this Agreement will remain in effect with respect to any particular Confidential Information until you can document that such Confidential Information falls into one of the exceptions stated in Section 2 above.  You acknowledge and agree that due to the unique nature of the Confidential Information, any breach of this Agreement would cause irreparable harm to Company for which damages are not an adequate remedy, and that Company shall therefore be entitled to equitable relief in addition to all other remedies available at law.  This Agreement is personal to you, nonassignable by you, governed by the internal laws of the State of California and may be modified or waived only in writing signed by both parties.  If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, such provision will be limited or deleted to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.  The prevailing party in any dispute or legal action regarding the subject matter of this Agreement shall be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees and costs.
