About Team:
The Performance Engineering team works closely with product development teams at Rubrik to deliver a delightful product performance experience for our customers. The team establishes performance testing standards, builds tooling and instrumentation within the product to enable product development teams to catch performance issues reliably and quickly.

About Role:
As an engineer on the Performance Engineering team, responsibilities are:
- Improve diagnosability by building instrumentation within product to collect logs and metrics
- Diagnose and solve performance problems within the product stack
- Drive improvements in performance methodology related to testing, debugging and benchmarking
- Work with next generation platform architecture to determine the performance characteristics
- Nurturing a team culture which sets high standards and achieves them through collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer Science graduate with 7+ years of relevant experience in performance engineering
- Strong programming and debugging skills in languages such as C++, Java, Scala, Go
- Strong interest in learning new technologies, solve complex problems and challenges
- Good understanding of CPU, memory, network, and storage hardware as they relate to performance
- Knowledge in Storage, Filesystems or Data Protection technologies is a plus
- Experience with profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks preferred
