Bipul Sinha

CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder

Bipul Sinha is an entrepreneur, engineer and venture capitalist. He is the CEO, Chairman and Co-founder of Rubrik, Inc. and a Venture Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Previously, Bipul was a Partner at Lightspeed where he focused on software, mobile, and Internet sectors. His investments included Nutanix, Pulse News, Bromium, and PernixData. Before Lightspeed, Bipul worked at Blumberg Capital, where he was the founding investor/board member of Nutanix and Hootsuite. Bipul also held engineering positions at Oracle Corporation, American Megatrends and IBM.

Bipul received his Bachelor in Technology in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur where he was bestowed with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Bipul completed his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School where he was a Palmer Scholar. Bipul holds several patents in distributed computing.

Arvind Nithrakashyap

Co-Founder and CTO

Arvind Nithrakashyap has decades of experience building storage, databases and distributed systems. He led the real-time ad infrastructure team at Rocketfuel and started his career at Oracle where he co-founded the Exadata storage platform.

Kiran Choudary

Chief Financial Officer

Kiran leads the finance, IT, product operations, and workplace teams at Rubrik. Most recently, Kiran served as VP of Finance & Strategy at Atlassian and contributed to the company’s successful IPO in 2015. Prior to Atlassian, Kiran served as VP at Goldman Sachs, advising clients in the technology industry on capital raising and M&A. Earlier in his career, Kiran led software development teams at Oracle. Kiran holds an MBA from Wharton and engineering degrees from MIT and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Peter McGoff

Chief Legal Officer

Pete brings 20+ years of legal experience and has served as the top attorney at a number of public and private enterprise focused technology companies. Prior to Rubrik, Pete served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Box and contributed to the company’s successful IPO in 2015. Prior to Box, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Informatica Corporation, then a public enterprise software company. Pete holds a B.S. in Finance from California State University, Sacramento, a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, and an LL.M. in Comparative Intellectual Property Law from the London School of Economics.

Giri Iyer

Chief Customer Officer

Giri Iyer brings more than two decades of customer services experience to Rubrik. He was most recently the Vice President of Customer Support at Ruckus Wireless where he scaled out the organization to support over 70,000 customers globally. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Customer Advocacy at Infoblox.

Brian McCarthy

President, Global Field Operations

Brian McCarthy serves as Rubrik’s President, Global Field Operations, where he leads the global go-to-market sales strategy. With more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise technology industry, McCarthy has held leadership roles at both public and private hyper-growth companies. He most recently served as CRO at ThoughtSpot, where he led the go-to-market function and the company’s SaaS transformation.

Anneka Gupta

Chief Product Officer

Anneka brings more than a decade of product and SaaS expertise with a track record of driving revenue growth, navigating expansions to new markets, and overseeing diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. She joins Rubrik from LiveRamp where she was the President and Head of Product and Platforms leading product development and go-to-market operations and strategy. Anneka also sits on the board of directors for Tinuiti.

Michael Mestrovich

Chief Information Security Officer

Michael Mestrovich joins Rubrik with more than two decades of experience in public and private sector IT and security leadership, most recently serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). At the CIA, Mestrovich led the Agency’s cyber defense operations, developing and implementing cyber security regulations and standards, and directed the evaluation and engineering of cyber technologies. Before Mestrovich’s career in the public sector, he was a systems engineer at Cisco Systems and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mike Tornincasa

Chief Business Officer

Mike Tornincasa has 20 years of experience in business development and technology sales. As Chief Business Officer, he is focused on Rubrik's growth and go-to-market strategy. An early employee and first VP of Sales for Rubrik, Mike successfully led the company’s go-to-market innovation and was a key leader in Rubrik's data security evolution. Prior to joining Rubrik, Mike held sales roles at companies including EMC and Medallia, Inc.

John Koo

Chief Marketing Officer

John Koo holds over 20 years of marketing and product leadership where he has built brands and launched breakthrough marketing campaigns for companies such as Glean, Airkit, Pure Storage and Symantec.

John originally joined Rubrik shortly after the company’s inception and led the Marketing team over a 5 year period where the company grew rapidly into a market leader. John rejoined the company in 2024, and now, as Rubrik’s Chief Marketing Officer, he is responsible for leading all aspects of Brand, Product and Growth Marketing. 

Julia Lee

Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer, Julia is responsible for ensuring Rubrik’s global team is aligned around key strategic initiatives and helping create efficient, cross-functional collaboration. 

As an early team member, Julia helped define Rubrik’s marketing strategy, positioning, and brand as VP of Product Marketing. Prior to Rubrik, she held roles at VMware and Morgan Stanley. Julia holds a MBA from Wharton and undergraduate degree from Stanford.

Kavitha Mariappan

Chief Transformation Officer

Kavitha leads Rubrik’s efforts to accelerate enterprise transformation and deepen executive engagement, with a focus on expanding Rubrik’s footprint across the Global 2000 and public sector decision-makers. She partners across the GTM organization, shaping Rubrik’s CXO narrative, championing value economics, and unlocking new revenue streams. Prior to Rubrik, Kavitha was EVP of Customer Experience & Transformation at Zscaler, where she built and scaled the company’s CXO and Transformation Practice. She holds a B.Eng. in Communication Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, and an M.S. in Cybersecurity Risk and Strategy from NYU School of Law and Tandon School of Engineering.

John W. Thompson is the Lead Independent Director and Former Chairman of the Board at Microsoft. He is a Venture Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and formerly served as Symantec CEO, CEO of Virtual Instruments, and was an executive at IBM.

Asheem Chandna focuses on enterprise investments and has been listed in the Forbes Midas List as a top investor. He has helped build multiple market-leading businesses, including AppDynamics, Check Point Software, Imperva, and Palo Alto Networks.

Enrique Salem

Partner, BainCapital

Enrique joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2014, where he focuses on infrastructure software and services with a specialization in cybersecurity.

Mark McLaughlin

Former Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks

Mark McLaughlin most recently served as the Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks. Previously, he was President and CEO of VeriSign, and has held executive leadership positions at Signio and Gemplus. For more than a decade, McLaughlin has served as a member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). He currently serves as Chairman of the board of directors for Qualcomm Inc. and is a board member of Snorkel AI. McLaughlin is a West Point graduate and served as an attack helicopter pilot in the US Army.

Scott Herren

EVP and Chief Financial Officer, Cisco

Scott Herren is the EVP and Chief Financial Officer at Cisco leading the financial strategy, global finance organization, procurement, and mergers and acquisitions and integrations for the company. Herren was previously CFO at Autodesk and held senior strategy and financial positions at Citrix Systems, FedEx, and IBM. Herren is the chair of the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) Advisory Board and a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board at Georgia Tech. 

Yvonne Wassenaar

Yvonne Wassenaar previously served as the CEO of Puppet. She's held leadership positions at VMware, Accenture, Airware, and New Relic. Wassenaar serves on the Board of Directors for Forrester, Anaplan, JFrog, Arista Networks, and Harvey Mudd College.
