Meet Kiran: The Architect of Transformation
At Altria Group, technology transformation isn't just an initiative it's a complex undertaking that requires deep architectural expertise and strategic execution. Kiran Pakkir has been at the helm of this evolution. With more than 17 years directing large-scale digital and cloud transformations for Fortune 200 enterprises, Kiran consistently helps the business navigate today's complex digital landscape.
Five Years of Unprecedented Scale
Over the last half-decade, Kiran built Altria's Azure greenfield environment from the ground up establishing the landing zones, reference architectures, and Cloud Center of Excellence standards the enterprise runs on today. On that foundation, he led the migration of Altria's most business-critical workloads to the cloud, including SAP landscapes moved with zero-downtime cutovers, alongside enterprise disaster-recovery patterns, CIS-aligned security baselines, and a multi-region global Azure footprint.
Understanding that data security is just as vital as cloud agility, he also led the complex effort to consolidate Altria's entire data protection landscape into a single, unified platform. And he played a pivotal role in launching Altria GPT, establishing the company as one of the very first in the industry to successfully adopt and deploy enterprise AI at scale. Today, as Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture, Kiran owns the integrated architecture strategy across cloud, datacenter, network, and security for a $25B+ enterprise.
