Pétur has spent more than 25 years in cybersecurity and enterprise data protection, spanning enterprise architecture, cloud and SaaS security, digital forensics, incident response, and high-trust investigations. He has worked alongside law enforcement and led cybercrime and forensic investigations. His perspective has also been sought by data protection vendors on product strategy, architecture, and security, including selection to an eight-member IBM advisory council.

Pétur began working with Rubrik in 2021, became a Rubrik Certified Engineer and Rubrik Champion in 2023, and earned Partner Black Belt status in 2026. At Cristie Nordic, which supports more than 100 MSP’s, he helps expand Rubrik protection into new sectors and use cases, supports customer integration and adoption, and helps organizations optimize operations and reduce data protection costs. His work focuses on Rubrik Security Cloud and Rubrik Identity Resilience, particularly governance and recovery for human and machine identities, including Microsoft Entra ID, privileged accounts, service principals, workload identities, application credentials, automation accounts, and AI agents.
