Identity Failure Is Inevitable.
Continuity Is Not.
New IDC Link Commentary examines how Rubrik is redefining identity security. Learn why IDC says the conversation has shifted from access control to a recovery first-model.
According to the report, on the identity side, Rubrik introduced two key capabilities::
Identity Roll Forward enables organizations to reconstruct identity systems to a clean, current state by preserving legitimate changes while removing malicious persistence. This approach directly addresses the long-standing recovery trade-off by eliminating the need to choose between operational disruption and residual compromise. Identity Continuity, powered by the acquisition of Strata identity, provides automatic failover to a secondary identity provider (IdP) to maintain authentication during outages or compromise. This effectively extends identity into a continuity layer, ensuring that access, and therefore operations, can continue even while recovery is underway
Together, these capabilities address one of the most persistent operational gaps in identity: not just how to recover but how to recover while maintaining continuity of operations.
