Rubrik - Rubrik Jumps 15 spots in the Forbes Cloud 100 - Rubrik Jumps 15 spots in the Forbes Cloud 100

Rubrik is honored to be named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list for the second consecutive year alongside incredibly innovative and exciting companies like Stripe, Slack, and Eventbrite.

Compiled with the help of partners Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, the 2018 Forbes Cloud 100 “profiles top-tier private companies leading the cloud technology revolution.” The evaluation process takes into account estimated valuation, operating metrics such as revenue and funding, culture, and market leadership. Judges selected and ranked companies based on “strong financials and other exceptional qualitative factors, such as unprecedented customer adoption and satisfaction.”

Jumping 15 spots to land at #21, Rubrik’s business continues to grow at an unprecedented pace. Founded in 2014, we announced in January a run rate approaching $300 million and over 1,200 employees across six continents. This success is due to our customers, partners, and dedicated employees who bring an unwavering commitment to excellence to work every day. Thank you!

Leading the Way

Rubrik is creating the definitive data management platform for the cloud era. The shift to the cloud and resulting exponential data growth has created opportunities, and challenges, for every industry. Rubrik helps enterprises navigate this shift and transform their data management operations from an insurance policy to a competitive advantage. Rubrik helps the Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport F1 team move faster, hospitals recover from ransomware attacks, banks protect their data from hurricanes, enterprises comply with GDPR, and governments around the world protect their most sensitive data.

More recently, we broke new ground with Rubrik Polaris, the industry’s first SaaS platform for data management applications. Polaris provides a unified system of record and was built to tackle the challenge of data fragmentation that comes with implementing cloud-first and multi-cloud strategies.

Radar, the latest data management application built on Polaris, empowers enterprises to respond faster to security attacks by delivering deep intelligence on how an attack impacted their business-critical application data. The market reception has been strong for Radar, and we recently took home a Best of Show award at VMworld 2018.

With the Right Team

We’re redefining a large market in significant transition, and we’ve assembled a top team to go after this opportunity. This past February, Microsoft Chairman John W. Thompson joined Rubrik’s Board of Directors after being one of the company’s earliest investors. And in August, we welcomed Cisco Chairman Emeritus John Chambers as an advisor to the board of directors. Over the past year, we’ve also added experienced executives from leading companies like Adobe (Jeff Vijungco, Chief People Officer), Atlassian (Murray Demo, Chief Financial Officer), Box (Peter McGoff, Chief Legal Officer), FireEye (Kara Wilson, Chief Marketing Officer), Mulesoft (Shay Mowlem, SVP of Product and Strategy), and VMware (Avon Puri, CIO).

Our team also includes our partner ecosystem. We go to market 100% through the channel. Rubrik’s API-first approach and strong technology partnerships with key industry players like Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, and Pure Storage, makes it simple for our customers to achieve their digital transformation, and cloud, objectives.

Our inclusion to the Cloud 100 is a validation of the innovative work we’ve delivered over the past year. And, we have big plans in the works. Go Rubrik!
