Job Summary

SDR APJ, (Fixed Term Contract - 6 months)

Rubrik’s Sales organisation is a united group of elite cross-functional sales professionals helping companies and government entities achieve resilience against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions. We offer continuous professional growth through our world-class sales enablement program, and our One Rubrik selling approach gives you the resources you need to exceed your goals, maximise your earnings, and take your career to the next level; all while doing something truly purposeful: protecting the world’s data.

We are seeking an experienced sales development leader to manage our APAC Sales Development team on a six-month fixed-term contract, based out of our Singapore or Sydney office. You will bring a proven track record of generating pipeline, hitting sales targets, and leading early-in-career reps through coaching, accountability, and strong team rhythm. You will partner closely with marketing on lead follow-up, with APAC field sales on territory execution, and with the wider sales development organisation to keep the team performing throughout the contract period.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of early-in-career Sales Development Representatives covering APAC markets (ANZ, ASEAN, India, and Japan).
  • Coach the team on identifying high-potential customers, researching Rubrik’s value fit, personalising outreach, and generating high-quality new business meetings.
  • Run daily and weekly coaching cadences: call shadowing, written outreach reviews, mock role plays, structured feedback, and rep development planning.
  • Drive accountability against activity, pipeline, and meeting metrics, and against individual rep development goals.
  • Inspect and shape the right mix of outbound and inbound activity for enterprise prospecting across the region.
  • Own inbound lead follow-up SLAs and compliance, and partner with Marketing to track results and align on campaign goals.
  • Partner with the APAC field sales team to drive territory success across diverse markets and time zones.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity market trends, competition, and industry developments, and translate that into how the team positions Rubrik.
  • Be an expert on what Rubrik does and how we help customers keep their businesses running.
  • Use Salesforce and Outreach to manage team activity, pipeline, and reporting.
  • Receive and deliver ongoing coaching to lift team skills and approach to calls.
  • Work from the Singapore or Sydney office 3 days per week for active coaching and team culture; the team includes remote reps across APAC.

Experience You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated experience leading and coaching sales or sales development people.
  • Background in tech sales - we want a leader who can inspire reps with credible, hands-on industry knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of lead management and outbound prospecting strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and to step into an existing team and lift performance quickly.
  • Polished written and presentation skills, and comfort engaging with senior leadership.
  • Proven skills in cold calling, email outreach, and outbound prospecting.
  • Strong coaching skills and a track record of translating personal selling experience into developing early-in-career reps.
  • Fluent business English required. Japanese language skills are a bonus, not a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Curiosity, grit, goal-orientation, and a growth mindset.
  • Strong organisation and time management - able to structure hours, days, and weeks for a regional team across multiple time zones.
  • Research and business intuition - able to interpret information and apply it to prospecting.
  • Active listening and adaptability - able to carry a conversation and react with value.
  • Objection handling - able to comprehend and overcome objections.
  • Storytelling - able to paint a picture and influence the team.
  • Prior experience supporting an APAC sales development team or operating across multiple APAC markets is a strong plus.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.
