About the Role
We are looking for a leader who can harness a team of highly talented and motivated individuals and deliver solutions in this rapidly growing space.To be successful in this role, you’d have to be a mentor to your team, be a strong collaborator and work with other leaders be it within Developer Platform or other teams in Engineering. Seek opportunities to create an impact by contributing to solutions for organization-wide challenges.
What you’ll do
- Build and drive the roadmap for the Developer workflows for multiple components and areas like code submission, code merge and developer toolchain.
- Lead our team of highly talented engineers to build & enhance infrastructure platforms / services, critical applications and developer workflows.
- Provide leadership to projects from inception to delivery
- Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a metrics driven culture
- Provide support and guidance that enables the team to self-organize and to achieve sustained high velocity and predictability
- Help employees grow through career development, coaching, and mentoring while guiding senior contributors to maximize their potential
- Foster a strong collaborative mindset working closely with customers, Architects, and Program Management to bring diverse viewpoints and goals together
- Install operational rigor and discipline by organizing sprint planning, and daily stand-up, you keep the bar high for performance, are never afraid of tough conversations and always hold the team accountable for deliveries
Experience you’ll need
- A passionate leader who is obsessed with building technically strong teams and has 14+ years of Software Development experience and 3+ years in Engineering Management role
- Experience hiring, building top talent teams
- Experience in delivering enterprise-quality scalable Distributed Systems with high quality standards
- Software development experience on Cloud/SaaS and on-premises platform environments
- Experience building and cultivating strong engineering practices and processes
- Experience working with cross-geo global engineering teams
- Preferred (not mandatory) - Exposure to development of internal engineering platforms and services for Developer experience and productivity improvements
- Experience in leading development of internal engineering platforms and services for Developer experience and productivity improvements preferred
- Have a track record of effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
