About the team:
Rubrik is seeking a highly effective and motivated Senior Manager of Global Accounts Payable with passion and a proven track record for success. We are seeking a strong leader who delivers results and who will be a key driver in scaling our procure-to-pay function. This role requires strong business acumen, and the ability to apply that business knowledge and know-how into the systems, process or reporting solutions that are proposed and delivered. In this role, expectations are high with regards to possessing outstanding communication, collaboration and influencing skills. This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to lead to optimal solutions, understanding how the this function can provide value to the entire Finance organization, while identifying risks and opportunities in a quickly evolving landscape. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will lead the Global Accounts Payable team across multiple time zones.
What you'll do?
- Lead our global accounts payable function, including invoicing, payments, onboarding, travel & expense, and ticket reviews.
- Partner with FP&A, Procurement, Accounting, IT and other cross-functional teams to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment, updating the design and scope of controls as the business evolves to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
- Manage data for tracking metrics, presenting results and implementing action plans as needed
- Identify, design and implement improvements with respect to business processes and reporting within the procure-to-pay process
- Possess a deep understanding of ERP systems, including sub-modules, including the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more systems
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation, and regularly interact with business owners and senior-level management on procure-to-pay matters
- Develop and mentor staff to build their professional career and maximise potential
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analysis in partnership with the Accounting team
Experience you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field required
- 10+ years of experience within accounts payable and other relevant finance functions, with a minimum of 4 years of recent experience managing a global team
- Extensive experience with Coupa is required
- Strong understanding of and experience with SOX, preparing, reviewing, and owning process controls and narratives. Responsible for timely updates to procure-to-pay documentation, including procure-to-pay desktop processes
- Experience navigating IT system complexity and compliance, including change management
- Proven experience in optimising, scaling, and automation of processes at a fast-paced, public company
- Exceptional people manager skills, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done
- Ability to lead a team in multiple time zones
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling multiple projects and deliverables
- Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
- Experience with Netsuite a plus
