Job Summary

Director, Field Marketing Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ)

Are you a natural connector who lights up a room, can strategize a go-to-market across cultures, and knows how to turn big ideas into pipeline? Then this might be the opportunity for you. We are looking for a senior marketing leader who knows APJ not just as a geography, but as a collection of cultures, relationships, and ways of doing business.

About the role

Reporting to the International Director of Marketing, you'll own the full field marketing motion across Asia Pacific and Japan — setting strategy, leading a regional team, and driving pipeline growth across diverse markets and channels.

You'll represent APJ at the global table while staying deeply connected to what's happening on the ground. That balance between global alignment and local relevance is where this role lives and succeeds. You'll work in close partnership with Sales, Inside Sales, and Partner Sales, leading with vision, empathy, and accountability.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute integrated, data-driven marketing plans that drive measurable pipeline growth across APJ's diverse markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of skilled field marketers, in a high-performance culture built on trust and collaboration.
  • Translate global priorities into locally resonant programmes across markets as distinct as Japan, India, ASEAN, and ANZ.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales leadership across the region, acting as a true strategic partner.
  • Design and run the full demand generation mix: partner marketing, field events, regional pipeline generation programs for scalability, and own the relationship with global marketing functions such as digital marketing.
  • Own the regional budget, track performance rigorously via Salesforce and Tableau, and continuously optimize for impact.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years B2B marketing in a leadership role, with field or regional marketing leadership experience in high-growth technology companies.
  • Deep, first-hand knowledge of the APJ region, its markets, its stakeholders, and how to navigate both.
  • A track record of building meaningful relationships across sales, partners, and global teams and delivering results through them.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing programmes in a high growth market, balancing tailored programs with high growth programs to drive demand generation, and deliver a strong through partner marketing motion for scalability.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a hands-on approach and a bias for action.
  • Compelling communication and influencing skills across cultures, seniority levels, and functions and a leadership style rooted in empathy, clarity, and an ability to bring out the best in others.

Why this role?

APJ is one of our highest-growth regions, Cyber resilience isn't a nice-to-have anymore. It's mission-critical. Rubrik helps the world's leading organisations protect their data, withstand attacks, and recover with confidence. We're growing fast and expanding aggressively across APJ. This is a pivotal role in shaping that growth trajectory and the go to market strategy that drives it. You'll have a clear goal and mandate, and the full support of a global marketing organisation behind you. If this speaks to you, we’d love to meet.
