Senior Manager, Training & Enablement (Rubrik University)
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Rubrik is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Training & Enablement to lead and scale our global training initiatives through Rubrik University. This role is critical in driving product proficiency, adoption, and overall success across our employees, customers, and partner ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Define the strategic roadmap and operational plan for Rubrik University, ensuring all training programs align with company goals for product adoption, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of trainers and content developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and instructional excellence.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure training content is accurate, timely, and addresses critical knowledge gaps.
Content & Delivery Management
- Curriculum Management: Oversee the development, maintenance, and continuous update of all training curricula for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Program Ownership: Own the delivery model for all training types, including:
- Internal Employee Training: Onboarding, ongoing upskilling, and advanced certifications for Sales, Support, and technical roles.
- Customer Training: Public live sessions and customized private training focused on product usage, features, and best practices.
- Partner Enablement: Certification paths and product knowledge transfer essential for partner sales and technical success.
- Platform Management: Manage the learning management system (LMS) and all delivery platforms to ensure a world-class user experience.
Measurement & Impact
- Define Metrics: Establish clear, measurable success metrics (e.g., certification rates, time-to-competency, training effectiveness scores, product adoption) for all training initiatives.
- Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on training data and ROI to senior leadership, using insights to drive program iterations and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 8+ years of experience in managing corporate training, technical enablement, or education departments, preferably within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience, leading a team of trainers or curriculum developers.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training across various modalities (instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive strategic projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience managing a global training program (e.g., a customer or partner academy).
- Familiarity with data management, cloud computing, and cybersecurity concepts (Rubrik's technology space).
- Experience selecting, implementing, and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
