It is clear that Anthropic is a leader in AI innovation, and importantly a leader in AI responsibility and the use of AI to defend and deliver resilience.

We’ve joined Project Glasswing and have access to Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview. It is a critical moment for us, as Anthropic is giving access to Mythos Preview to organizations that build or maintain critical software infrastructure for the purposes of finding and fixing vulnerabilities in advance.  

Anthropic is helping its partners plan ahead, to be preemptive, to vet their systems and apply fixes that position them best for future recovery and resilience. We could not agree more with this approach.

Preemptive Recovery is the Only Plan

The circumstances could hardly be more timely. In April, Anthropic disclosed that its general-purpose frontier model had found thousands of critical software vulnerabilities across the cyber landscape. They were in browsers and operating systems, and some had escaped human detection for decades. 

The Mythos Preview model shows us both AI’s ability to rapidly find vulnerabilities, and that the window between vulnerability discovery and exploitation has collapsed from months to mere seconds. AI-powered attacks are constant and can flood the zone at machine speed. 

Mythos may just be the start. New models with even greater capabilities are coming: we can expect that more vulnerabilities will be found. New vulnerabilities may be created, both by humans and the new abundance of machine-driven code or through malicious actors infiltrating agentic AI systems. 

The hard truth: You cannot prevent the unpreventable and you cannot recover fast enough if recovery starts after the attack. The only strategy left is to do the work of recovery preemptively—so when the inevitable breach hits, restoration is immediate and already in motion. 

The only metric that matters now is: How fast can you recover?

How Rubrik Will Use Mythos Preview

Mythos Preview will enable us to rapidly find vulnerabilities in our platform, to fortify our environment and reduce risk for our customers. As a member of the Project Glasswing cohort, we will share our findings back to the industry; our goal is to provide security and trusted AI operations for every organization.      

Anthropic has shown us the start of the next evolution in cybersecurity, one that is quickly moving. Rubrik is here, we are grateful to be part of Project Glasswing, and we are ready for resilience.
