Director, Core Platform & Alliances

About the role:
Rubrik is the leader in cyber resilience — and the platform that makes that possible runs on a set of deeply technical, deeply interconnected capabilities. This Director of PM role sits at the intersection of all of them: the core data protection engine, the developer and integration ecosystem, and the partner alliances that extend Rubrik’s reach globally.
This is a rare opportunity to own three distinct but complementary pillars of a market-defining platform — each with its own roadmap, stakeholders, and strategic leverage.
What You’ll Own
Core Data Protection Engine
You’ll drive product strategy for Rubrik’s foundational data protection capabilities — the layer that customers depend on most. That starts with Data Lifecycle Management: the policy engine that defines how data is protected, retained, and recovered. Get this wrong and nothing else matters. You’ll own the roadmap for applying AI to policy management — helping customers move from manual, rule-based configuration to intelligent, adaptive protection that anticipates risk and reduces operational burden. You’ll also own cloud vault (RCV), replication, and archival — the full stack that turns policy into guaranteed resilience at enterprise scale.
APIs, Developer Center & Integrations
Rubrik’s future is platform, not product — and you’ll help build that future. You’ll own the API surface, developer experience, and integration framework that enable partners, customers, and Rubrik’s own AI capabilities to build on top of the platform. This pillar is the connective tissue between Rubrik and the broader ecosystem, and increasingly the foundation on which agentic AI capabilities are built.
Alliances & Partner Strategy
You’ll define how Rubrik shows up in the GSI and technology alliance ecosystem. That means understanding which partnerships create real customer value, building the business case for where to invest, and working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and engineering to make those partnerships land. This isn’t relationship management — it’s market strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in product management, with at least 3 in a senior or director-level role
- Experience owning infrastructure, platform, or data-layer products — you understand what it means to build for reliability and scale, not just features
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI/ML to product problems — ideally in workflow automation, policy management, or operational intelligence
- Strong developer platform instincts — you’ve thought deeply about API design, developer experience, or integration ecosystems
- Track record of building or scaling alliance and partnership programs in an enterprise B2B context
- Ability to operate across highly technical and highly commercial contexts — you’re as comfortable in an architecture review as you are in a partner QBR
- A bias toward clarity: in roadmaps, in communication, and in how you define success
