Every day more than 2 billion documents and emails are added to Microsoft 365, making this critical data a priority target for ransomware and other cyber attacks. This data can also often be unstructured, and rapidly processing and managing the content at enterprise scale is critical when it comes to both applying protection and performing restores. Rubrik Integration for Microsoft 365 Backup Storage
The new integrated solution, called Rubrik Integration for Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, will complement our existing Rubrik-hosted Microsoft 365 Data Protection solution focused on security and compliance. This new integrated offering will service the largest enterprises with tens of thousands of users and billions of files with high-speed backup and accelerated restores, all managed from within Rubrik Security Cloud.
While Microsoft 365 Backup Storage is limited to data in Microsoft 365, Rubrik extends the Microsoft solution with this integrated offering. The integration can be used alongside Rubrik-hosted Microsoft 365 Data Protection, which brings robust availability across on-premises, hybrid Azure and other SaaS platforms.
Rubrik Integration for Microsoft 365 Backup Storage is differentiated and extends the capabilities of Microsoft's solution in the following ways:
Rapidly restore data in bulk: Help ensure business continuity with bulk restores and fast recovery of Microsoft 365 data en masse using Microsoft APIs to maximize performance
Expand recoverability: Backup Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) users and groups by automatically recreating Entra ID objects with Rubrik and recovering data with roles and permissions intact
Centralize data management: Automate protection across Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business, alongside Rubrik-hosted protection for Microsoft Teams channel messages, plus other SaaS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
