PALO ALTO, Calif., July 10, 2018 — Rubrik, the Cloud Data Management Company, today announced the appointment of Peter McGoff as its first Chief Legal Officer and Jeff Vijungco as its first Chief People Officer. Both executives will report to Bipul Sinha, Rubrik co-founder and CEO.

“Rubrik has achieved unprecedented growth in the last four years, and we continue to invest in key talent as we enter our next chapter,” said Rubrik co-founder and CEO, Bipul Sinha. “Peter and Jeff are proven leaders with experience scaling hyper-growth companies and developing world-class teams.”

McGoff has over 20 years of legal experience and has led legal teams at a number of public and private enterprise technology companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Box, leading the legal, information security and compliance operations for the company, and through its successful IPO in 2015. Prior to Box, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Informatica Corporation, then a public enterprise software company. McGoff holds a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and an LL.M., with an emphasis in Comparative Intellectual Property Law, from the London School of Economics. As Rubrik’s Chief Legal Officer, he will lead the legal and compliance functions for the company globally. Areas of focus will include guiding Rubrik into new international markets and building a compliance and governance framework to further support enterprise customers from a broad array of verticals, including those in regulated industries.

“During my career, I have been fortunate to have played a role in the development and scaling of several hyper-growth technology companies. I believe that Rubrik, with its market-defining data management solution and impressive business traction, is well positioned to lead the market in the long term,” said Rubrik Chief Legal Officer, Peter McGoff. “I look forward to supporting the company’s continued growth and evolution.”

Vijungco brings over 20 years of HR experience to his new role as Chief People Officer at Rubrik. Prior to Rubrik, he served as Vice President of Employee Experience & Global Talent at Adobe. In this role, he was responsible for accelerating organizational performance that helped scale the company culture as it grew from 3,000 to 18,000+ employees globally. He began his career in executive search with a focus on the technology practice. He is a featured speaker at Stanford University on people, culture and performance, and at University of California, Berkeley on leadership effectiveness. At Rubrik, Vijungco will be responsible for all aspects of employee success, including talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity & inclusion and employee insights.

“What sets Rubrik apart from its competitors in Silicon Valley is its unique, radically transparent culture and the focus its placed on developing and engaging its employees from day one. In just four years, the company has built a work environment that has attracted, empowered and inspired 1,200 employees,” said Rubrik Chief People Officer, Jeff Vijungco. “I’m honored to join Rubrik and look forward to supporting the success of its rapidly growing global team.”

These executive appointments come at a time when Rubrik is experiencing unprecedented growth. Founded in 2014, the company has grown to more than 1,200 employees across six continents, has delivered 12 major product releases, and is approaching a $300 million global bookings run rate. Over the past fiscal year, the company increased its customer base by more than 4x and employee count by 3x.

McGoff and Vijungco are the latest in a string of strategic executive appointments at Rubrik.
