Salesforce Was Built for Data. Now It's Ground Zero for AI.

Rubrik now protects, accelerates, and governs the entire lifecycle of Salesforce data, with Rubrik AI built in.

Somewhere in your Salesforce org, an AI agent may already have broad write access, the kind most companies would think twice about handing a new employee. This agent does not pause to second-guess a bulk update. Indeed, Salesforce's own Bulk API can push changes across thousands of records in a single batch, faster than anyone could review them.

That is not a hypothetical. Agentforce, Copilot, and a growing list of custom bots already read and mutate Salesforce records in production. Rubrik Zero Labs found that 86% of security leaders expect AI agent adoption to outpace their organization's security guardrails within a year. Only 23% report full visibility into the agents already running in their environment. Nearly nine in ten want an "undo" button for what those agents do. None have one yet.

Earlier this year, Rubrik extended Zero Trust Data Security to Salesforce Government Cloud. Today, Rubrik for Salesforce takes its biggest step yet. The platform now includes policy-driven data archiving and a new wave of built-in Rubrik AI capabilities, alongside the recovery, sandbox seeding, and masking capabilities customers already rely on.

Salesforce AI

Salesforce has become the enterprise system of record. Under its shared responsibility model, uptime is Salesforce's job but protecting what lives inside it — the records, the relationships, the history—is the customer's job.

Most of that risk still starts small: an accidental deletion, a bad bulk update, a Data Loader job with one wrong mapping. But Salesforce is also a live, repeated target. Attackers spent the past year hitting it directly, through phished admins, stolen OAuth tokens, and prompt injection attacks against connected AI agents. For example:

  • Vishing Escalates to Mass Extortion: Vishing crews tricked admins into authorizing a fake connected app. By October 2025, attackers claimed nearly one billion records stolen across 39 organizations, including Google, Cisco, Toyota, and Marriott.

  • ShinyHunters Hits Google, Workday, Cisco: Vishing and fake OAuth approvals breached Salesforce instances at Google, Workday, and Cisco. Workday’s breach alone exposed data tied to 11,000 corporate customers and 70 million individuals.

  • Salesloft-Drift Token Compromise: Stolen OAuth tokens for the Drift chatbot gave attackers API access to over 700 connected orgs, including Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, and Cloudflare.

None of those incidents exploited a flaw in Salesforce itself; every one exploited the layer the customer owns.

Rubrik for Salesforce is built for exactly that layer: recovery, DevOps acceleration, lifecycle management, and AI governance, all on one platform.

Recovery You Can Actually Trust

A bad bulk update does not ask permission before it cascades. One overwritten field on an Account can ripple into every Case, Task, and Opportunity connected to it. Salesforce's Recycle Bin only holds what was deleted, not what was overwritten.

Rubrik takes immutable, air-gapped backups of Salesforce data, metadata, files, and attachments on a schedule as tight as every 12 hours. Admins compare any two snapshots to pinpoint exactly what changed. They can then restore individual records or fields. Relationships stay intact up to 10 levels deep, even after a merge or a hard delete. A Permissions Report flags access gaps before they can silently break a backup or a restore.

What used to take days of manual reconstruction now takes minutes. Every Case Number and Created Date comes back exactly as it was.

Keep Your Org Lean

Closed Opportunities, resolved Cases, and years of Tasks do not just sit quietly. They drive six-figure storage overage fees. They also slow down search and reporting, long before any org hits a hard limit. Cleaning that data up manually risks breaking the relationships that make the data useful.

Salesforce Archive

Rubrik now archives Salesforce data automatically. Admins set retention policies in plain English or SOQL. Rubrik expires and archives records and attachments up to 5 levels deep, on schedule. It then hard-deletes them from Salesforce to reclaim space. Every archived record stays searchable and restorable from one catalog, with full relational integrity intact. A native Lightning component even surfaces archived records on the Salesforce record page. Reps never have to leave Salesforce to see the full history.

Legal and compliance teams get complete record sets back when they need them, not fragments. Storage costs stop climbing on their own.

Dev Fast, Without the Risk

Seeding a sandbox with realistic data has always been slow. Manual CSV exports, broken parent-child relationships, and hours spent scrubbing PII come before a developer can touch it.

Salesforce AI Masking

Rubrik seeds sandboxes directly from existing backups. Reusable templates and smart sizing checks persist across every refresh. Sensitive fields get masked automatically with one of five techniques: substitution, shuffling, blanking, numerical variance, or format-preserving substitution. Production data never reaches a test environment unmasked.

Development teams get production-quality data in minutes. PII never has to touch a sandbox to make that happen.

Empower Your Team With Rubrik AI

Compliance and monitoring work in Salesforce has traditionally meant tickets, scripts, and someone manually watching for anomalies. That approach scales badly as record volume and agent activity both grow.

Salesforce Rubrik AI

Rubrik AI now runs across policy creation, compliance, and monitoring in natural language. Tag a record for erasure in plain English. Rubrik AI anonymizes its PII everywhere it would resurface. The immutable backup itself is never touched. Set an anomaly threshold in plain text. Smart Alerts emails a direct link the moment something looks wrong. Rubrik Agent Cloud extends that visibility to the agents themselves. It monitors every AI agent connected to Salesforce and governs what they can touch, with the ability to surgically undo unintended changes on the way.

Work that used to take a ticket and a script now takes a sentence. The agents connected to your CRM stop being a black box.

The next mistake in your CRM might not be human. Neither should the recovery.

One Platform for the Full Lifecycle

Every enterprise wants AI agents doing more inside Salesforce: summarizing pipeline, drafting follow ups, updating records without a human in the loop. Every enterprise is also, quietly, hoping nothing goes wrong.

But hope is not a recovery plan.

Rubrik for Salesforce now covers recovery, DevOps acceleration, data archiving, and AI governance on one platform. That includes Salesforce Government Cloud for federal and public sector customers, protected on Rubrik's FedRAMP-authorized platform. Salesforce joins Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and every other major workload Rubrik already protects. That means one less vendor to manage, and one less blind spot to worry about.

The next mistake in your CRM might not be human. The next attack will not wait for business hours. What matters is whether you can see it, undo it, and keep moving before it spreads.

Protect the system of record. Not just the data inside it.
