Transforming Company Culture: Rubrik Named to 2019 LinkedIn Top Companies List
Last week, LinkedIn announced its 2019 LinkedIn Top Companies List, which honors the 50 most sought-after companies in the U.S. The list is derived from a blended score that looks at factors such as engagement with employees, job interest, and retention and is based on the billions of actions from the LinkedIn community. We’re honored to be included on this year’s list alongside many other innovative companies.
Rubrik has experienced an unprecedented amount of growth in recent years. This year alone, we’ve announced a $261M series E investment at a $3.3B valuation and have skyrocketed to over 1,400 employees across six continents. And as we scale, we remain guided by our core values: Relentlessness, Integrity, Velocity, Excellence, and Transparency (RIVET).
Last year, we were proudly included on the 2018 LinkedIn Top Startups List. Being named to the 2019 LinkedIn Top Companies List reflects our commitment to building an open environment that is both challenging and rewarding and encourages employees to think outside of the box. Culture of Transparency
Since day one, radical transparency has been part of Rubrik’s DNA. We invite all employees to attend our board meetings so that everyone can have a deep understanding of our successes and challenges as a company. Our open approach encourages us to align on key business priorities, think beyond day-to-day projects, and participate in higher-level conversations. This level of transparency has contributed to our rapid growth, as it allows us to collectively move fast to meet ambitious goals.
At Rubrik, we view employee empowerment as a critical part of our success. That’s why we launched Rubrik Beyond Work, our corporate social responsibility program that aims to dedicate 1% of employee time annually to giving back. Through this program, we’ve raised donations for California Camp Fire victims, the Thompson Family Foundation, and more. Other internal programs include Women At Rubrik and Rubrik Sustainability Squad, both of which are 100% founded and run by employees and open to anyone.
In addition, we recently launched Rubrik Build, an open source community that invites everyone–from infrastructure engineers to cloud architects–to consume and contribute to Rubrik’s open APIs with popular automation tools and SDKs. Rubrik Build makes it easier for users of any skill level to embrace scripting and automation, and we look forward to seeing what people create!

We know that our engineers want to architect homegrown solutions that tackle the toughest enterprise data management challenges. Our product is constantly evolving, and engineers get to leverage modern technologies like cloud and machine learning.
In addition, we operate on a rapid release cycle that gives everyone the opportunity to be a leader. Each team is composed of engineers with a diverse range of experience and skill sets, and we encourage teammates to take turns managing releases. This allows our engineers to hone their leadership skills while still getting hands-on with code.
