Rubrik is honored to be named in the Top 10 of the Forbes Cloud 100 list alongside innovative and disruptive companies like Stripe, Snowflake, and DataDog.

The Forbes Cloud 100 list, compiled with the help of Bessemer Venture Partners, Salesforce Ventures, and industry CEOs, ranks “the definitive list of the 100 top private cloud companies.” The rigorous selection process evaluates estimated valuation, operating metrics such as revenue and growth, as well as people, culture and market leadership. In 2019, we improved our ranking by 12 spots as compared to 2018.

Rubrik has continued its unprecedented growth over the past year. In January, Rubrik announced a $261 million Series E funding round, increasing its valuation by $2 billion (Rubrik is now valued at $3.3 billion). We now count more than 1,600 employees across six continents that serve our thousands of customers, including CARFAX, Cisco, Expedia, Sesame Workshop, City of Las Vegas, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Our growth and continued success is a testament to the amazing customers, partners, and employees who bring a relentless commitment to innovation day in and day out.

Investing in Innovation

Since being founded by top engineers from Google, Facebook and Oracle in 2014, Rubrik has worked to redefine the $50+ billion data management market. Data management continues to be our focus, and Rubrik Andes 5.1 introduces new applications built on our data management platform to help customers improve business compliance, data mobility, and business continuity.

Andes 5.1 delivers multiple advancements for large-scale, complex enterprise environments:

Natively-integrated continuous data protection provides near-zero RPOs for high-value applications in VMware environments and is enabled with just one click within the SLA policy engine. We’ve also extended our SLA Domains capabilities to support vSphere groupings based on tags. And for enterprises operating in heavily regulated industries, Retention Locked SLA Domains helps support WORM compliance for SEC Rule 17a-4(f) and FINRA Rule 4511(c) by preventing retention policies from being lowered or removed.

Andes 5.1 also includes two new SaaS applications. Rubrik Polaris Sonar applies machine learning to automate the classification of sensitive data to mitigate the serious risk of data breaches and compliance penalties – a critical need for every business in light of privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. And Rubrik Polaris AppFlows provides radically simple, natively-integrated orchestration of failover/failback, cloud migration, and non-disruptive testing from data center to AWS.

Expanding our World-class Team

As Rubrik has expanded leadership into new markets, we’ve assembled a top-notch team to ensure we have the right people to continue our pursuit of excellence. Over the past year, we’ve added leading executives, such as Chief Revenue Officer Brett Shirk (VMware), Chief Commercial Officer Wendy Bahr (Cisco), SVP of Engineering Vinod Marur (Google), Chief Information Security Officer Rinki Sethi (IBM), and VP of Federal Tom Kennedy (Veritas).

Recognition in the Forbes Cloud 100 underscores our technical innovation and is a strong testament to the future of the company and what’s coming next. We’re looking forward to embarking on our next phase of growth together – Go team Rubrik!
